Hyatt Place Santa Barbara

I am so glad I stayed here! Not only did Sophia at the front desk tell me of a great park—Kids World—to take my grandchild, but Jose T helped me obtain Children’s Tylenol via Uber Eats when he suddenly spikes a fever in middle of night. Room was great, clean, and appropriately priced. Perfect location to 2 freeways. Great breakfast too. I highly recommend!

The room was clean very small for the price definitely paying for the location. I wasn't happy that there's no pool only a jacuzzi and no microwave in the room

The rooms are very clean and with Signature’d Hyatt style. We liked nice terrace sitting area with the fireplace. Unfortunately they just ask you to leave at 10pm as they are covering the furniture (this must be taken into consideration and let guests to stay longer if they are there). Gym was good too, they have rowing machine, big plus. The front desk manager (Tyler) was very professional and very helpful. We give a huge recognition as he made our stay even better. We will definitely be back soon.

It felt like a charming, small-scale boutique hotel. The exterior beautifully reflected the architectural style influenced by the Spanish colonial heritage of the Santa Barbara area. The interior design throughout the hotel was also lovely, creating a relaxing, resort-like atmosphere. The room we stayed in was about 500 sq. ft.—cozy, clean, and comfortable. The complimentary breakfast buffet was neat and delicious. Parking was spacious, and it was convenient that we could access our room directly from the parking area through connecting walkways on each floor without having to go through the lobby—especially great for families with kids, as it minimized walking distance. A minor downside was that there’s a storage building right next to the hotel, which can make it a bit confusing to find the entrance using navigation. The entrance itself is also quite narrow, so temporarily parking your car can be a little inconvenient. Other than that, it was a wonderful place to stay. Within a 5-minute drive, there was a shopping center with a grocery mall and various stores, which was very convenient. Overall, very satisfied!

I am really glad to mention that this place is super awesome. Clean room and super accessible to good restaurants and shopping areas. I definitely need to highlight the super friendly customer service by Tyler in making our stay memorable and wanting to definitely come back for our next vacation at Santa Barbara. He guided us to the best restaurants and things to explore in this beautiful coastal city. We had a wonderful experience . Also enjoyed their free complimentary breakfast. Overall, worth giving it a try!

Great place to stay. Room was great size and included a little sofa space with big tv. There was also a nice little outdoor patio area next to the breakfast room, where we enjoyed our breakfast.

First off believe the reviews on sound, I could hear conversations from my own closed room at the start of the hallway and we woke up hearing distinct voices from other rooms so no privacy. Don't expect views, we were facing a back parking lot and other views included a U Haul facility. Rooms were clean and pretty modern but details around included loose faucets and toilet seats, low water pressure, and crooked elevator buttons. Also when their website mentions breakfast tacos I don't know what they think tacos are but they don't mean things like cheese, salsa, or tortillas. Edit: Added a star back because we lost a ring during our stay and assumed the worst, but it was turned in and returned to us. Thankful for the staff for that.

All and all we enjoyed our stay at this beautifully decorated hotel. The room was comfortable however a little noisy at times. You could hear hallway conversations and footsteps upstairs. The shower hot water temps were not as warm as we would like but adequate. Had to waste a lot of water to get to a warm enough temperature. Pipe whistled when the toilet flushed. Otherwise a nice room. (Room 142) No issues with outside noise. Parking is $10 a night in the hotel parking garage. Breakfast in the morning was good. I’d stay there again.
